Webster Lake Information
Located in North Webster, Indiana, Webster lake is 585 acres, 50 feet maximum depth, 14 feet average depth. With public access, via backwater lake and a channel, this lake contains Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed, Redear, Yellow Perch, and is stocked with Muskie.
Webster Lake is Indiana's Brood stock & Premier Musky Lake. The DNR says that there is an average of 6 adult fish per acre with the average length at around 38". That can make for an awesome day on the water with several follows and hook ups this is usually a good action lake. It is also a great Crappie and Bass fishery.
With the backwaters, Webster lake is more than 1,000 surface acres. Webster Lake is the headwaters of the Tippecanoe river.
Webster lake is known for the island on it, and also the Dixie Sternwheeler:
The "Big Island". Prior to the 1930's it was known as Muscongus Island, and had a few houses on it. In the 1800's it was known as Kline's Island. Today it is maintained by Epworth Forest. The island has a picnic area, but no permanent dwellings.

Webster Lake is home to the Echo Bay Condominiums. This area of lakeshore was undeveloped until the late 1970's.
